SIVAJI RAJA Turning To Small Screen…

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

SIVAJI RAJA is soon going to appear on small screen with Mr.ROMEO series. Though he claims to be busy with film schedules… it seems that after tasting disaster with MOGUDS PELLAMS his brain seems to be working in the right direction. The series has a lot of comedians in the cast including him. “I think doing comic roles in TV serials will help my popularity. Also, I am willing to experiment with my performances,” he says.

KAVITHA Speaks Her Mind…

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

KAVITHA speaks her mind which really is truth that our so called Telugu film industry “PEDDALU” need to acknowledge… Kavitha as a character artiste has done impeccable work… She says,”Superstars alone can’t make a film. Every actor, however small a role he or she plays, is an essential part of the film. It’s like cooking a delicious curry. In spite of using ingredients worth hundreds of rupees, if you don’t add curry leaves, you will not get the flavour you need from it. It’s a false notion that only stars playing the lead roles contribute to the success of the film.”

KALCHAs AADAVARI MAATALAKU ARTHAALE VERULE Box-Office Prediction…

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

Aadavari Maatalaku Arthaale Verule is a mixed bag, both in terms of quality and entertainment. The movie is refreshing mostly and cliched partly… The director of the movie Selva Raghavan (Sri Raghava) has done largely good but not a great job with AMAV. AMAV is not as great or as entertaining as 7/G Brindavan Colony was… but he has done his best in crossing the barriers of stardom with AMAV dealing with one of the leading stars of Tollywood, Venkatesh. So how will the movie fare at the box-office…? Read On…

IN A NUTSHELL: AMAV will open huge as it stars one of the leading stars of Tollywood, Venkatesh and a heartthrob of many cinema lovers, Trisha. But the movie itself would get an average talk. But luckily for AMAV, there is no competition at all at the box-office… So, slowly the talk that it is a family movie will gain momentum and the film will be the biggest grosser of Venkatesh of all time (Inflation not adjusted)… I predict the gross collection to be around Rs. 22-28 Cr. by the end of its run…

And remember… in the future 100, 150, 175 days centers would become irrelevant… and as in Hollywood, only a few weeks collections would matter to decide whether a movie is a hit or flop…

Astha Singhal Tries To Woo Tollywood Audience…

Saturday, April 28th, 2007

ASTHA SINGHAL joins the long list of actresses who claim to like Telugu film industry for whatever silly reasons they quote… The fact is that these actresses are desperate to get any roles that they just go on making false claims of nearness to the industry. Astha Singhal touched the filmdom with her short and quite meaningless appearance in PELLAINA KOTHALO. She is now playing the female lead in CHANDRAHASA opposite HARANATH POLICHERLA. She says,”I was surprised when I heard that Super star Krishna has acted in more than 350 films and still going strong. I’m very happy about being a part of this film. I hope it will help improve my popularity in Tollywood.” For that I advice her to act in reel life… and not in real life…

No Marriage Plans For SREEDEVI…

Friday, April 27th, 2007

SREEDEVI is wondering as to why everyone keeps asking about her marriage and plans to settle down. Someone please tell her that it is because she has been delivering never ending series of flops. She says,”It doesn’t irritate me, but I feel like laughing at the curiosity surrounding my marriage. My sisters are well settled now and I am the only one from the family to still work in films. I am getting good roles and I don’t want to give up my career at this point. But I haven’t closed myself to marriage either.”

RAKSHITHA Is Back To Rock Tollywood…

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

RAKSHITHA is back in the tinsel town. But hey, before you fans jump out of your seats, let me clear this to you all that she is coming back to TOLLYWOOD not as a sultry actress that she was but as a PRODUCER. Yes, you are reading right. After getting married, she went in to hibernation and now with her hubby’s advice she is planning to produce a film in TELUGU and KANNADA. She is also planning to introduce her brother-in-law (Hubby’s brother) through this film… Let’s wait and see if she hits the bulls-eye… I think you all remember what happened to AAMANI when she started producing along with her hubby…

Can TARUN Make A Comeback…

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

TARUN was the lover boy of TOLLYWOOD in the distant past… Now there are many claiming that spot and if at all Tarun wants to make a comeback, he cannot do so as a lover boy… Firstly, he is not that young to be called as a lover “boy”. Secondly, after everything that has happened between Tarun and Aarti Agarwal, I expect the undercurrent public sympathy to be in favour of Aarti and against him… That might prove to be a huge hurdle to cross… It is being speculated that he is preparing for a comeback with his first Tamil movie PUNNAGAI DESAM being remade in Telugu with probably PRIYAMANI replacing SNEHA in the female lead… But, all said and done, Tarun has always been one of the most efficient actors when it comes to performing… So I wish him luck and hope Tollywood audience would take his film on its merit rather than his background…

KALCHAs CLASSMATES Box-Office Prediction…

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

Classmates is one of those alien themes that Tollywood shouldn’t attempt (”Alien”… because I don’t remember the last time I’ve seen a decent enough suspense thriller in Tollywood) until it is prepared enough… to handle such subjects. My comment above kinda gave away prediction… didn’t it? If it didn’t, Read On…

IN A NUTSHELL: Classmates will open to empty theaters, will never pick up, and very soon will pack up… That’s it…

PARVATI MELTON Is Turning Herself In To Telugu Bhama…

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

PARVATI MELTON, who was born in California is in the transformation phase trying to become a complete Telugu bhama. She has a few successes in the recent past. So in her pursuit to be recognized as a good artist she claims to be Indian at heart… I think many of you might not be aware that her father is a GERMAN. She was completely brought up in the United States. Just because her mother is of Indian origin (She doesn’t even speak her mother tongue fluently…) and primarily because she is being offered roles here in India, she is making some ridiculous claims… Let’s wait and see how far she copes with her fellow Indians… In fact many movies are in the pipe line for her… In ALLARE ALLARI directed by Muppalaneni Siva, She is acting besides MALLIKA KAPOOR who also is in the lead role… So obviously she has to give her best… All the best for her future…

SIMRAN Ready To Sizzle TOLLYWOOD Once Again…

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

SIMRAN who is easily the best dancer among heroines of her times, who is tall, sensuous and moreover a good actress is making a comeback in to the Telugu film industry with OKKA MAGADU. She is paired with BALA KRISHNA in the film. Surely this is a great news for all Simran fans. The time that she had taken off was to nurture her new born baby… “The Telugu film industry has been my good luck charm, as my career took off from here. And I’m glad to be back. And it’s not just Okka Magadu, I’m also looking forward to the Tamil film that I’ve signed, which is being directed by a noted Tamil filmmaker.” So now it would be a treat for Telugu and Tamil audiences as they missed this tall beauty that rocked the Southern glamour industry for many years…
