SURENDER REDDY And His Calculator…
SURENDER REDDY just recently claimed that he is very calculated and statistical when it comes to film making. Surender Reddy says, “I discuss story line with the producer and then explain the depth of each scene and the amount of films that has to be used for that. We go ahead only when the producer says yes”.
This calculated Surender Reddy also says, “I want to make a Hindi film shortly. Actually I was given a chance to direct the Hindi version of Athanokkadey. But due to dates problems I couldn’t do that. I wish to get into Hindi production very soon. There are many ideas for me to produce films”.
I just have one small doubt. If Surender Reddy is as calculated and precise as he says, then… Why the hell did he lose his calculator while filming FLOPBUSTER ATHIDHI? I think U already know that the film is almost an unbearable 3 hours in length and was trimmed by more than 10 minutes of the CRAP… so that the audience’s suffering subsides to an extent. Anyway, as he is done with ruining the parties of NTR and MAHESH BABU with ASHOK and ATHIDHI respectively, he is focusing on BECHARA BOLLYWOOD. —KALCHA

Well said Kalcha.I can never forget his interview which he gave after Athithi when he told that “I was not really surprised for i already knew what would be the response” when everyone was struggling to watch the movie.
He to me seems to have a fixed way of making a movie. The emotion sequences between hero and heroine. The way the fight sequences are shot( particularly the way he has shot the blood spilling). Tries to have as much twists and turns in the movie and in the end forgets to weave all of them together to form a coherent plot.I feel the media is going overboard in projecting him as a technically Superior Director. These are my opinions. Correct me if i am wrong

Although u have given ur opinion.I want to ask you what was ur analysis. ur opinion may reflect the masses bus as considered part by part the movie is of good quality.The main problem with the movie is last half an hour was too extended(including last fight) and The pokiri style copy in the first half.
Except those two mistakes i am proud to call him our Telugu director in all other aspects such a creating suspence,thriller and comedy.
although romantic scenes are not heart touching we can excuse amrita rao as she is not native to telugu industry.
Dont try to show your hatred by the impression on hero or director.

I m a die hard Mahesh Fan and i have nothing against Surender Reddy either. The point i am trying to make is he concentrates so much on the technical aspects such as cinematography and leaves the main thing which is the Screenplay. However the media praises him as a superior director. He did the same thing with NTR in Ashok. I was trying to make that point. I once again reiterate that i have nothing against anyone in particular

Surender reddy seems to have run out of ideas.His first movie was a very good effort.Ashok was good in parts.But its with Athidhi that he hits the rock bottom.Like it was pointed out in the review Getting inspired is quite different than mish-mashing various scenes from Hollywood movies.Copying action sequences from Hollywood does not essentially translate to technical brilliance if u understand wat i mean.
