PRABHAKAR who is generally busy on Small Screen is gonna make an interesting Big Screen appearance for the first time. He is doing a full length role with both POSITIVE and NEGATIVE shades in the movie titled CELL. It is being considered as an Experiment. So, what is so unique about this film? To start with, the film is a SUSPENSE thriller with REVERSE Screenplay writing technique. The movie is being Produced by Tungaturthi Sreelakshmi. And is being Directed by Venkatanarayana, who also provides Dialogues and Screenplay. Recently, the film underwent extensive shoot on state highways in and around Hyderabad, finishing 30 days of shoot. Producer Sreelakshmi said that there would NO STUNTS and NO SONGS. Sameer, Kota Sankar Rao, Chatrapati Sekhar, Bhavani are some of the artistes in the film. John is the cinematographer and Mahi Sridhar is the Music Director. With its first copy ready, Cell gets ready for release in a few weeks.

AARTHI AGARWAL was one of the TOP actresses of Telugu Cinema up until recently. Succumbing to her personal problems, she lost her position as a leading actress and has been out of action for quite some time now. She is a GUJARATI girl who had been living in USA prior to her entry into the filmdom. The media has always been tormenting and often made a huge spectacle of her personal life. I personally feel, what ever happened in her personal life is and should be her PRIVATE ZONE. She will tell something to her fans if she is obligated to and if she wanted to. She should be given some breathing space so as to live her personal life.

When a celebrity does something wrong that should not have been done being role models to many of their fans, then the media could be right in exposing their wrong doings. But when it is just a matter of love, marriage and relationships, then it is something that could be kept as her own private affair. There is nothing wrong in covering the whole event of her marriage. But it is beyond crushing HUMAN VALUES when a reporter starts questioning her past life even before leaving the her marriage venue.

Well, AARTHI AGARWAL married UJWAL KUMAR at ARYA SAMAJ in Rani Gunj of Hyderabad in the presence of her immediate family. UJWAL KUMAR, a native of JHARKHAND, is said to be an employee of MORGAN STANLEY in USA. No one from the film fraternity were informed or invited to the wedding. But that is her very personal issue. So, it would not be appropriate for any media to make an issue out of nothing. Especially some overzealous TV channels have taken the MORALITY levels abysmally low that in general the morality and generally acceptable PRIVACY levels are coming down among the PUBLIC too. And that is a very sad thing to happen.

PADMA SHRI Dr. M MOHAN BABU is a Legendary Actor of Telugu Cinema. No matter how much fuss and denial of that over cheap Cine-Politics, there can be no denial in the truth in the fact that he is 509 films old. He has even Produced 48 films. And he is one of the most HIGHLY VERSATILE ACTORS OF ALL-TIME, especially that is of much significance when every cheap star is being labeled as VERSATILE by the cheap media (If only they knew what versatility means…).

So when he completed 32 years in the film industry on November 22nd, Demi-God of Tamil Cinema RAJNI KANTH himself came all the way from Chennai and met his beloved friend Mohan Babu. They met on shooting location of Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures latest film, starring VISHNU in the direction of P VASU at Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Rajni Kanth greeted Mohan Babu, who informed the latter about the film’s development. Rajnikanth also interacted with the members of film unit, who expressed their joy that their meeting is a perfect example of true friendship for over three decades. He also blessed Vishnu on this occasion.

Mohan Babu made his debut with SWARGAM NARAKAM on November 22nd, 1975. Since then he has just risen through a plethora of characters ranging from Villain to Comedian to a Hero. His recent film is YAMADONGA. I can just wish that Legendary Actors like MOHAN BABU and CHIRANJEEVI make more MEANINGFUL and ENTERTAINING movies keeping their age in mind and abstaining from cheap CINE-POLITICS.

SINDHURA GADDE is making her debut in TOLLYWOOD Filmdom through SANGAMAM directed by RASOOL ELLORE. That is quite a debut considering that Rasool is a top class Cinematographer, which might further enhance her appeal as a Beauty Queen. So, now everyone is wondering whether she will make it to the TOP or NOT. So, what do you think Guys/Gals… Will she or won’t she? I am waiting for your valuable comments.

Meanwhile, to give you all an idea… Here is what I think… While Beauty Queens might become leading actresses, not all of them make it and just remain as ALSO-RANS. There are extraordinary exceptions such as AISHWARYA RAI and PRIYANKA CHOPRA. But Beauty Queens like LARA DUTTA, DIYA MIRZA and SUSHMITA SEN have remained just as ALSO-RANs. There are Beauty Queens like DIANA HAYDEN who are charming but not in a conventional way and clearly did not fit in the filmdom. And lastly, there are Beauty Queens like YUKTHA MUKHI who just FRIGHTENED us to death with her EYE-GLOBES. So, where does SINDHURA GADDE fit among them?

Beauty is a SUBJECTIVE matter and is very unique to everyone of us… So, I am not going to debate over that. But when it comes to the CINEMATOGRAPHY, the movie camera has its own mind… completely oblivious of the conventional STILL PHOTOGRAPHY. It is quite an easy task to hide the NOT-SO-GOOD looks of anyone of us through STILL PHOTOGRAPHY. I think you all know the reason why we approach a GOOD STILL PHOTOGRAPHER for taking our snaps meant for MATCH-MAKING.

Well, she looks BEAUTIFUL here… But if I were the CASTING DIRECTOR or DIRECTOR of the movie SANGAMAM, I would not cast her at all.

Now, what do you think? Is she gonna make it? Well, I think PRODUCERS are simply wasting their valuable time and money. As for RASOOL ELLORE, he is just lucky to have another chance of directing a movie. I think you all know that his earlier 2 movies OKARIKOKARU and BHAGEERATHA were FLOPS. He is an excellent CINEMATOGRAPHER. But he has to prove himself with a great movie and not just a half-baked opportunistic movies like SANGAMAM. Why am I even saying this even before the movie’s release? The reason is simple… He is clearly trying to make use of SINDHURAs BEAUTY QUEEN TAG and not making any sincere effort at film making. Lets wait and see if he proves himself…

As for SINDHURA GADDE, I PREDICT with my gut feeling that Sindhura won’t make it into the FILM DOM. She won’t frighten us like Yuktha Mukhi, but won’t even be an ALSO-RAN like Lara Dutta or Diya Mirza. She will end up like Diana Hayden… Charming but not made for Tinsel town… I am really happy that a Telugu girl is being considered, but is she worth it? I don’t think so. Telugu or Non-Telugu… one should be worthy enough to entertain us if they belong to the film industry. Only one thing can save her now and prove me wrong… she should be damn good an actress like NANDITA DAS or KONKANA SEN.

TAKKARI starring hit pair NITIN and SADA is arriving with a seemingly fresh look. MAISAMMA IPS is obviously targeted towards the masses and is also debuting on this Friday. So who will be the winner? Is it current reigning ITEM GIRL of Telugu film industry MUMAITH KHAN? Or is it Nitin who is down and out with a series of flops? What do U think?



Going by the promos, TAKKARI is looking damn cool with NITIN and SADA in a complete makeover. Nitin is well toned and looking as a prime contender for the top slot in the younger generation. His dances in Takkari are simply put MIND-BLOWING. Sada is looking hip. MAISAMMA IPS posters doesn’t inspire confidence with Mumaith Khan doing a full length police officer role and that too an IPS. I wonder if this IPS officer would do an item number in this movie. This movie is certainly a step back for Tollywood especially if it becomes a hit.

BABA SEHGAL is gonna sing a song in Telugu after a long long time. Last time he sang for Chiranjeevi in RIKSHAVODU. He sung a popular number Roop Tera Mastana…” in that movie. This time he is gonna croon for Chiru’s brother PAWAN KALYAN in his upcoming movie JALASA.

BABA SEHGAL was very popular in early 90s when he made RAPPING in Hindi fashionable. But he made so by lifting piece by piece from popular English numbers like ICE ICE from Legendary Rock Band QUEEN. Anyway, now he is singing while DEVI SRI PRASAD is composing. Devi is very notorious for lifting other people’s work. So I just wonder if LIFTER+LIFTER = MEGA LIFTER? But, hoping they will dish out something fresh out of the oven.

CHIRUTHA is celebrating 50 Days supposedly in 168 DIRECT CENTERS. Just look at the picture below and decide yourself the REAL STATUS of the movie and its supposed collections of Rs. 25.49 Crores in 50 days.

YES. Pictures do really speak a thousand words. If the above scenario is the condition of the 50 DAYS CELEBRATIONS IN MAIN THEATER SANDHYA 70mm in HYDERABAD, then imagine the plight of the other CLAIMED 168 DIRECT CENTERS. But always remember that this is not something exclusive to CHIRUTHA… Another FLOP ATHIDHI is currently facing the same situation. Even the HIT YAMADONGA is facing the same situation as soon as it crossed 50 days mark.

SO MY DEAR TELUGU AUDIENCE & FANS , when I say that Chirutha, Athidhi or Yamadonga are claiming fake records, I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s sentiment. It is just that I am making a sincere effort to make the audience realize that 50, 100, 150, 175 DAYS RECORDS ARE EXTINCT in Cinema worldwide. There are no such PHONY celebrations in Hollywood or even in Bollywood. If Hollywood is the world leader, Bollywood is India’s leader both Box-Office & Content wise. There is nothing wrong to learn something from others. I hope we will have more REAL HITS.

Audience’s IGNORANCE is Exploitative Film-Maker’s STRENGTH. Prove to them that Telugu Movie Goers are not “BAVILO KAPPALU.”

SEEMA SASTRY is a very crudely made PARODY of SEEMA movies. So, is it all that bad? Hmmm… I have no problem with ridiculing the caste system, no problem with parodies, no problem with vulgarity if demanded… but I have a serious problem with crudely made movies. Ohhh, many of you must be thinking… cut this bullshit and just spill the beans. Well, read on…

IN A NUTSHELL

HIT

SEEMA SASTRY will open to a 60+% OCCUPANCY RATES overall. It will never get over 80%… and I mean ever. But will not fall to 30% either… The movie will give enough laughs to enough people (There are always exceptions) to sustain with an average of 30%-50% for 50 days. And if it does manage to do that… then it would have made enough GROSS collections to give at least 50% NETT PROFITS. In the end, the movie would be a decent enough HIT making it a 2nd SUCCESSFUL FILM of ALLARI NARESH this year after the success of ATTILI SATTIBABU LKG in the first half of the year.

VISAKHA EXPRESS is VARA MULLAPUDIs 2nd film. The Audio of the movie was launched at a function organized in PRASAD LABS on 17th November, 2007. CHANDRA SEKHAR YELETI provides the Screenplay. S S RAJA MOULI Presents the film. ALLARI NARESH and RAJEEV KANAKALA are the main leads of the movie. The audio function was graced by Director K RAGHAVENDRA RAO, Actor NTR, Actor VISHNU, Producer DIL RAJU and others. NTR and K Raghavendra Rao bought the 1st Audio Cassette and 1st Audio CD respectively.

S S RAJA MOULI said, “Vara narrated me the story long back. I wanted to direct this film. But I ended up as the presenter of this film. I feel that this film is going to be a trend-setter.”
ALLARI NARESH said that this film is an experimental film with good commercial values.
VISHNU said that he got the offer first and he missed playing a character in this film.
NTR said that he liked that story and expressed confidence that this film would be encouraged by the Telugu audiences.

RASOOL ELLORE mesmerized us with Unflinching, Technically Brilliant Cinematography in GAYAM and GULABI. He made his debut as a Director with OKARIKOKARU. Currently, he is directing a movie called SANGAMAM with new comers SINDHURA GADDE (Former Miss India World who is also a Telugu NRI girl) and ROHIT in the lead. The Audio of the movie was launched in a function organized at DURGAM CHERUVU. Actor MURALI MOHAN, Writer/Director TRIVIKRAM SRINIVAS, Director RAJA MOULI, Director K RAGHAVENDRA RAO along with others graced the Audio launch function. Murali Mohan released the Audio. Anchor SUMA hosted a fun Antakshari program with the guests. VEL RECORDS bought the Audio Rights.

Lyricist ANANTA SREERAM said, “It feels good when Keeravani composed tune for a song I penned in my college days. He also rendered that song. I feel fortunate to write all six lyrics in this album.”

Music Director KEERAVANI said, “I composed music for Gavara Pardha Sarathi’s Mr. PELLAM. I also composed music for Rasool’s directorial debut Okarikokaru. Both these films were appreciated a lot for the music. The songs composed for these two people in this film too are very good. Vel Records is taking good care of packing this album well by getting neat and beautiful designs.”
