SINDHURA GADDE - Will She Or Won’t She Make It To The Top?
SINDHURA GADDE is making her debut in TOLLYWOOD Filmdom through SANGAMAM directed by RASOOL ELLORE. That is quite a debut considering that Rasool is a top class Cinematographer, which might further enhance her appeal as a Beauty Queen. So, now everyone is wondering whether she will make it to the TOP or NOT. So, what do you think Guys/Gals… Will she or won’t she? I am waiting for your valuable comments.
Meanwhile, to give you all an idea… Here is what I think… While Beauty Queens might become leading actresses, not all of them make it and just remain as ALSO-RANS. There are extraordinary exceptions such as AISHWARYA RAI and PRIYANKA CHOPRA. But Beauty Queens like LARA DUTTA, DIYA MIRZA and SUSHMITA SEN have remained just as ALSO-RANs. There are Beauty Queens like DIANA HAYDEN who are charming but not in a conventional way and clearly did not fit in the filmdom. And lastly, there are Beauty Queens like YUKTHA MUKHI who just FRIGHTENED us to death with her EYE-GLOBES. So, where does SINDHURA GADDE fit among them?
Beauty is a SUBJECTIVE matter and is very unique to everyone of us… So, I am not going to debate over that. But when it comes to the CINEMATOGRAPHY, the movie camera has its own mind… completely oblivious of the conventional STILL PHOTOGRAPHY. It is quite an easy task to hide the NOT-SO-GOOD looks of anyone of us through STILL PHOTOGRAPHY. I think you all know the reason why we approach a GOOD STILL PHOTOGRAPHER for taking our snaps meant for MATCH-MAKING.
So, here are some good STILL-PHOTOGRAPHS of SINDHURA GADDE:

Well, she looks BEAUTIFUL here… But if I were the CASTING DIRECTOR or DIRECTOR of the movie SANGAMAM, I would not cast her at all.
For the reason… check some more NON-STILL-PHOTOGRAPHS:

Now, what do you think? Is she gonna make it? Well, I think PRODUCERS are simply wasting their valuable time and money. As for RASOOL ELLORE, he is just lucky to have another chance of directing a movie. I think you all know that his earlier 2 movies OKARIKOKARU and BHAGEERATHA were FLOPS. He is an excellent CINEMATOGRAPHER. But he has to prove himself with a great movie and not just a half-baked opportunistic movies like SANGAMAM. Why am I even saying this even before the movie’s release? The reason is simple… He is clearly trying to make use of SINDHURAs BEAUTY QUEEN TAG and not making any sincere effort at film making. Lets wait and see if he proves himself…
As for SINDHURA GADDE, I PREDICT with my gut feeling that Sindhura won’t make it into the FILM DOM. She won’t frighten us like Yuktha Mukhi, but won’t even be an ALSO-RAN like Lara Dutta or Diya Mirza. She will end up like Diana Hayden… Charming but not made for Tinsel town… I am really happy that a Telugu girl is being considered, but is she worth it? I don’t think so. Telugu or Non-Telugu… one should be worthy enough to entertain us if they belong to the film industry. Only one thing can save her now and prove me wrong… she should be damn good an actress like NANDITA DAS or KONKANA SEN.
Finally, JUST 4 FUN…

DEAR RED,
I apologize for not being able to respond in time. U can follow a comment thread by just going back to the POST/ARTICLE that U commented on. For opening that particular post, for example… ATHIDHI BOX-OFFICE PREDICTION can be opened by going into the MAHESH BABU category. U can also bookmark a particular post through the BOOKMARK BUTTON at the bottom of each post. And I assure U, no matter how much visitor traffic, I will answer all Ur relevant questions… But sometimes I may not be able to do so in time. For the question, U asked… it needs a lengthy and detailed post to clear all Ur doubts. So I am even writing an article on the same topic for guys/gals like U. It would be of much help to everybody. I think I would be able to post in 2 days or earlier. So dear friend, please bear with me…
I am preparing some detailed TUTORIALS and FAQs for GUYS/GALS like U to know the ins&outs of Tollywood and even would try to post some film making resources.
In fact, I am even trying to start a forum for TOLLYWOOD ENTERTAINMENT where any one interested in FILM-MAKING or ACTING or ANYTHING that they want to associate themselves with would be able to upload their HOME-MADE or PROFESSIONAL VIDEOS or PHOTOGRAPHS or ANY OTHER MATERIAL that they can project to the world at large. I will strictly monitor the community to stick to only related to CINEMA or TOLLYWOOD. I will publicize the COMMUNITY around the WEB and the Film circle as much as possible. I hope it would reduce the number of trips of an aspiring tollywood STAR/TECHNICIAN to the doors of film personalities to a certain extent.
So, I hope U would understand the delay…

Hey Kalcha,
Thanks a bunch for your reply. I bet a lot of tollywood film making aspirants would cherish the valualbe information in your upcoming article. Tollywood industry a tightly knit industry is beginning to expand its horizons. The industry is beginning to accept a lot of fresh talent. Kudos to Sekhar Kammala for setting a new trend in selecting actors, music directors and addressing entertainment needs of youth. Tollywood industry is our industry and all telugu people in whatever part of the world they are should play their part to make it better. Tollywood should not be restricted to a few actors/producers and film makers. During the past decade, lot of changes occured in the composition of the telugu society. If we take a sample from telugu society today, we can find more engineers/NRIs/software profs/business managers/educated people than we had before. People’s tastes have significantly changed compared to a decade ago. To cater the needs of modernizing tollywood audience, movies need to be made with higher standards technically be it directing, acting or screenwriting. For making movies with higher standards educated talented youth should pop in and work in symbiosis with existing industry pros. Factual information on the following FAQs is iminent for aspiring tollywood aspirants.
I hope your article/forum will shed light on the below FAQs:
1. How does a film project gets initiated in Tollywood (an example)
2. How does a 40 rupee ticket contribute to 40 crore collection?
FOR Aspiring Writers:
2. Does a project get initiated with a story or a screenplay or just an idea? How are ideas/story/screenplays protected from infringement? (FYI Here in hollywood we send it to the copyright office or register the script with WGA or with some agencies. Then we send query letters to agents and if they like the script we send it to the agents, if it is accepted we sign a contract. In many cases a script from non-union writers will be re-written by union wirters.)How does this process work in tollywood?
3.Whats a typical remuneration for a screenplay/story/idea?
4. Once we have an idea/story/screenplay, how should we proceed with it? Should we proceed to a director or a producer or an actor? In a lot of interviews in Gemini Tv I frequently hear actors wanting to read new scripts. I dont know if this works in real world scenario.
5. Where do we find contact information of producers/directors/actors? Is there an online/offline resource? Do tollywood industry profs respond to emails?
6. If a story/screenplay/idea gets accepted by a tollywood industry pro what’s the role of writer from there?
FOR Aspiring Directors:
7. How are directors typically selected? WHat qualifications are typically required? WHat steps should a novice director follow inorder to find a movie for directing?
8. What is the typical remuneration for a director with moderate experience?
9. WHat are the responsibilites of a director in a movie project?
FOR Aspiring producers:
A lot of NRIs have a moderate potential to produce a movie than for directing or writing since producing a movie has lot to do with financing rather than creativity and imagination.
Therefore a very detailed section on producing will help novice producers.
9. Whats a typical budget for low/medium/high budget movies? Examples if any?
10. Are there tools to calculate budget a movie based on screenplay/story/idea?
11. How are movies typically financed (examples)? Are there agencies that give a loan if so what is a typical procedure?
12. what are intricacies involved in disbursing daily cash during the length of the film project?
13. Should a producer be with the crew for the length of the project?
14. If a producer identified a script and director how should he proceed further contacting technical departments?
15. After a film is produced, what are the procedure invlolved in selling it to distributors? Examples if any… If a film is not sold whats the procedure invloved in screening directly?
16. how do producers decide the price tag for a movie after it is produced? production cost + margin?
17. Whats the deal with shares and box office? I cant understand them at all.
18. Overall how does a Rs 40 ticket contribute the 40 crore collection?
FOR Aspiring music directors and Actors..
I hope you can add FAQs for these questions..
Thanks
Reddy

Come on…Give her a couple of chances guys.A telugu heroine after a long long time and u guys write her down without even watching her work…Heroines like Trisha, NayanaTara, Asin, Priyamani etc made it to the top league in the South but none of them are from our state. In fact, presently i cannot see anyone from our state rising to that level. Its been really embarassing these days watching these heroines from other states(Ileana,Haansika,Amrita Rao etc…does not matter),being interviewed in our channels in English. What is even worse is that they are often asked by these stupid Anchors if they can speak Telugu as if these heroines speaking Telugu is a great favor bestowed upon our people and language.
But why not even one Telugu heroine?I cannot understand this? Many people say that many families are not inclined to send their girls to the film business due to its bad reputation but I feel it is crap.If we have had great heroines and vamps 50 years back, why not now?And i am not being paranoid here..

DEAR WARLOCK,
U seem to be a very sensible guy/gal. And I almost agree with U for most of the part.
In fact, let me give U some examples that can throw some light although very briefly…
If U go back to 1940s-1980s…
SOUTH has been the major EXPORTER in CINEMA.
To name a few…
1. SRIDEVI
2. REKHA
3. WAHEEDA REHMAN
4. HEMA MALINI
5. JAYA PRADA
If U come back to the present…
SOUTH has become a TINY EXPORTER in CINEMA.
Just to name a few…
1. AISHWARYA RAI
2. DIYA MIRZA
3. DEEPIKA PADUKONE
4. SAMEERA REDDY
I will come up with better analysis and research in my BRAND NEW SITE that I will inform U all about soon. But, now I will give one simple logic behind this…
In the PAST and in the PRESENT, the EXPORTS of TELUGU CINEMA has been MINIMAL, bcoz We tend to GLORIFY our PAST and try to live under the deck thinking that no one will ever notice the lack of QUALITY in our CINEMA. But things are gonna change with more and more MEDIA start to write openly.
I will just give U an example…
Recently I reviewed MANTRA MUSIC. I openly criticized it for many discrepancies especially PLAGIARISM. The very next day, the Music Director openly admitted in front of the media that the SONGS ARE LIFTED. That is the power of MEDIA.
OPINIONS are opinions. We should discuss them freely without being labeled as FANS or ANTI-FANS. We should collectively work towards GOOD TELUGU CINEMA.
Keep coming WARLOCK… we can discuss many things. And I promise U a researched article on Ur doubt on my new site.
