BALA KRISHNAs OKKA MAGADU TRAILER - KALCHAs OPINION
BALA KRISHNA in and as OKKA MAGADU is one of the most highly anticipated movies in the early part of the new year 2008. The reasons for this anticipation are quite simple… Bala Krishna had a series of FLOPS. But for the first time, he is pairing with Y V S CHOWDARY. YVS is a self proclaimed hardcore FAN of Nandamuri Clan. So, it is natural that he would put his everything in to the movie. Moreover, 2007 has proved to be the DEATH BED for TOP STARS except VENKATESH. Okka Magadu is like a MAKE or BREAK movie for Bala Krishna. So, watch this trailer and express your opinion….
MY OPINION IS THAT THE TRAILER IS NOTHING SPECIAL IN TECHNICAL TERMS. But it was never technical value that makes a BLOCKBUSTER out of Bala Krishna’s movies.
Just by watching this trailer… I PREDICT THAT OKKA MAGADU WOULD SHATTER ALL RECORDS SET BY HIS EARLIER FILMS. THE REASON IS QUITE SIMPLE. YVS HAS ABUNDANT COMMERCIAL SENSE. THAT IS WELL PROJECTED IN THE TRAILER. THE FIERCE COMPARISON WITH A LION IS ENOUGH FOR BALA KRISHNAs FANS TO MAKE THIS MOVIE A BLOCKBUSTER. I REST MY CASE.

As far as OKKA MAGADU is concerned… I feel inevitable success of this movie lies in the presentation. BALA KRISHNA… the true MASS hero of Telugu is going to dazzle on the screen. His fans are gonna just love him. My sources tell me that there are some radically new things that this movie is gonna offer. Foremost among them being Bala Krishna’s getups. I am waiting for its release… lets see what happens.

Yes i guess u r right, the reviews have just all been one sided. I must confess at this stage that my prediction has gone wrong. YVS i guess has messed up things. I m yet to see the movie though, will post my review of it once i have seen the movie. Looking at the Initial reviews my mind goes back to Sivaji. That was also a case of ppl getting their predictions wrong. Tht too was a Silly movie. Lets See. Thanks for pointing it out Anonymous.

I am extremely ANNOYED, FRUSTRATED, APOLOGETIC and everything else after watching OKKA MAGADU. A review will be on my new site. But remember that it is a complete head-ache. Except for the well shot young BALAYYA, there is nothing in the movie. It is a XEROX COPY of BHARATEEYUDU.

I m giving my opinion below.Kindly requesting ur take on that.
Like most of them i m also disappointed and frustrated.
The problem is that YVS has fallen into the message trap… I dunno why these fellos often get into the habit of conveying messages. It is i believe that is equivalent of commiting suicide particularly when u r making movies with stars.
Remember Shankar made those kind of movies with Arjun( who is not a huge star) and Kamal( who is looked upon as an artist of whom ppl do not xpect anything in particular). The first time he did such a kind of a message movie with Rajini,it turned out to be one of the worst movies of recent times competing with Stalin( which again was a message movie made with another Star). The problem is that when u make such kind of movies with Star u are forced to take care of the star as well as the subject while the concentration should be on the Subject in these kind of movies.
YVS has maintained all along that he wanted to do this movie with NTR Sr. I guess he is right only NTR Sr could make this movie a hit(for it has got so much flaws)
Hope YVS becomes himself again and delivers a wonderful hit next time around.
One advice to all these directors. Please stop giving messages and advicing.
This is where i like Rajamouli the most. He is all for only entertainment and thts how movies should be.
If u still want to make message movies please go ahead and look at Hollywood movies. They only highlight the problem and leave it for people to decide thereby creating the desired impact.

This movie is so dumb and so stupid..How could the director ever think that the costumes wud work out..They are so ridiculous that people might have considered them as spoofs.Simran’s makeup was the worst and balakrishna’s makeup is only a bit better.I saw the movie in Satyam in chennai and ppl were laughing at the movie in the theatre..The storyline is a big farce.The storyline sucks heroine roles are disgusting.PPL started walking out near the song Pattuko pattuko in disgust ..Worst bala krishna’s film..0/5
