ILEANA must be one lucky gal… You must be thinking along the same lines… Aren’t you? I mean after all she is said to have signed up for a film for Rs. 1 Crore+Transportation+Stay as her remuneration, produced by Bellamkonda Suresh which in turn is being directed by K. Vijaya Bhaskar with TARUN as the leading man… Or is he a leading man?

But seriously, how many of you think ILEANA is lucky…? And how many of you think TARUN is lucky…? Well, as for me… I feel Tarun struck gold here… Because, the last time Tarun gave a hit at the box-office wassssss………… almost half a decade ago. So, its beyond obvious that he desperately needs a hit… And can he pull the audience to the theaters on his own right now? That’s a big NOOO. So, Ileana is his biggest vehicle to make a comeback…

As far as Ileana is concerned, after DEVADASU and POKIRI, she hasn’t delivered a single hit yet… And in fact her movies subsequently were KHATARNAK, MUNNA and AATA… All of them have been disasters. So why is K. Vijaya Bhaskar making his producer pay Ileana the huge PayCheck (remuneration)…? Because, K. Vijaya Bhaskar seems to like it that way… Remember… he made a producer pay Rs. 70 Lakhs even to an undeserving KATRINA KAIF for MALLISWARI.

I would say, if a producer can pay a hefty remuneration to Katrina Kaif, then why not to ILEANA…? I mean she is undoubtedly Sensuous, Glamorous and can deliver an above average performance too… And, I genuinely feel… AATA ran for that 1 week (Only Week) just on her shoulders or should I say thunder thighs? —KALCHA

WEDDING is a very auspicious day for anyone and so it would be for BHUMIKA CHAWLA too… She is as you already know is marrying very famous Yoga Guru BHARAT THAKUR on 25th of October. It will be solemnized according to Punjabi and Bihari rituals. The bride’s wedding ensemble is simple, but elegant. It will include a Ghagra for the Punjabi ceremony and a Banarasi red silk sari for the Bihari. An 80-year-old jeweler from Bharat’s hometown in Bihar is designing the Maang Tika, Necklace and Bangles for her.

Now that her trousseau’s taken care of, Bhumika’s mind is on her would-be Bharat’s preparations for their wedding day. Well, he is sporting a beard for the occasion to impress Bhumika’s father who is a retired army colonel who wears a Pagdi! Complaining about her cool and unruffled Yogacharya would-be, Bhumika says, “He acts at the last minute…” If you didn’t knew before… Bhumika first met Bharat “Smoking” at a party thrown by Salman Khan. It was a moment they remember and cherish. “I was telling a friend that I need to start yoga. And there was Bharat at the same party! I never imagined this would be a permanent bond then, but I’m happy it’s progressed that way…” reveals a shy Bhumika.

Bharat, of course, had known about her for long. He admits shyly that he had selected Bhumika as his wife years ago after seeing her in the Tamil movie Rojakuttam. “I used to ride a red Vespa scooter then and when I saw Bhumika on screen and told my friends that if ever I settled down, it would be only with this heroine, they laughed…” he says. Bhumika has succeeded in getting him accustomed to Bollywood. And so comfortable is the yoga master with the industry, that he intends to turn producer after their marriage. “I will cast her as the heroine in all my movies…” says the wannabe producer who plans to give up smoking for his would-be. Bhumika blushes, “That’s kind of him but variety must be offered. And work to me is like worship. I will continue working even after marriage…”

PRIYAMANI has always been consistently telling us that PELLAINA KOTHALO(2006) was her first film… What do you say guys n gals? Well I must say I was of the same view that it was indeed her first film. But the truth is different and bitter for her…

Well, no prizes for guessing… Yes, she is Priyamani in her debut movie EVARE ATHAGADU. She played the second female lead in that disastrous movie. The male co-star was VALLABHA, son of the producer K.S.Rama Rao. And I don’t find fault with Priyamani for hiding the truth. Because no sensible actress would want herself to be identified as a debutant opposite that weird guy… (or is he?) You will understand what I mean… if you ever get to watch that movie because I recalled the promos of the movie and the experience was horrible…

CHARMEE, one of the most exposed persons in Telugu film industry (quite literally)… is doing her 25th film titled MANTRA. Her age seem to be forever stuck at 18+ (according to her ridiculous claims)… but it feels great to see that she is at least making progress in her career. But the progress is in quantity (25) rather than quality (Her only good film till date is Anukokunda Okaroju)…

Anyway, DTS works are in progress for Mantra directed by Tulasiram and produced by Kalyan Ram with Charmee playing the title role. According to the producer Kalyan Ram, the film is a thriller. The film revolves around various incidents that occurred in the life of a girl called Mantra. What kind of incidents she faced? How she thwarted them? What kind of bravery she showed in attacking the odd circumstances is the subject. Kausha’s character would give a good twist to the story. The Mantra team is planning to launch the audio very soon and the film will subsequently be released without any further delay as the movie already suffered a time lag…

Bala Krishna gets busy again after his daughter’s marriage. He is teaming up with the (vintage) Director Raghavendra Rao for their new film Ranga Panduranga… I know this news is old but what is new is that the shooting of the film is commencing on 21st October, 2007. The Pooja ceremony will be held in the second week. It is being planned that after a week of scheduled shooting, Bala Krishna will again start working on Okka Magadu. And then after the entire Okka Magadu finishes, Bala Krishna would join the shooting for Ranga Panduranga.

I wonder if he gets to wear this pant in a mythological movie…!!! —KALCHA

Raghavendra Rao is producing it on his RK Film Associates banner. Two leading heroines and several other upcoming actresses will star in this movie.

AKSHARA… Yeah! That is the new name that former Rekha would like to be called as in the future… If you forgot her in the first place… let me remind you that she was the heroine of yesteryear hit Anandam. And since then she never had any Anandam at the box-office and in Tollywood. Well, quite ambitiously, she tried to squeeze through Bollywood gates but never made it inside… So she is back with a new name (for change of luck) and her Freaky Frankenstein Eyes…

Usually in the movies, the Cameraman and Editor does a great job in hiding every star’s real personality in every way and project what ever they feel is presentable. But off-screen it is very hard to hide their real personality which is quite often caught by any camera (nowadays, mobile does a great job… isn’t it?). You don’t agree with me??? Let me have the pleasure of proving you wrong…

CHIRANJEEVI is probably testing Krishna Vamsi’s prowess in film making by watching his movie Chandamama which released recently along with his family. It is widely rumored in the filmnagar circles that Krishna Vamsi is all set to direct Chiru’s 149th film… We will have to wait and see if there is any truth in that or is it just another rumor…

Kshanam is the new movie which has completed Censor formalities and is ready for release by the end of September. The movie is being directed by Ratnakar and produced by Naresh kumar Gupta in the banner of NKG Productions with Sai Kiran and Mamatha in the lead roles. Shyam K Ravi scored music for this murder mystery and suspense thriller. Vaibhav, Navya, Jackie, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Ganesh, Latha Sri, Mallika and others are in the cast. Camera is by CV Anand, Choreography is by Anand, Action is by Avinash, and Editing is by Nandamuri Hari.

To start with, the title Kshanam is a derivative of “Kshana Kshanam”. And through my past experiences of bearing the torture of these wanna-be slick flicks, I safely assume that this movie is not gonna travel much distance in the technical department. Just think yourselves… any cameraman and a director who shoots the faces in the above picture in such a close up shot in that angle just cannot make a movie… I mean… seriously, if there is no quality in the movie… would any sensible guy/gal among you would pay Rs.50/- to watch the faces in the above picture on a 70mm screen…? Again, I safely assume the answer to be a big NOOO. —KALCHA

Open Ur eyes and look at this odd pairing… Nitin seems to be looking at us helplessly and wanting a younger looking heroine… Tell me if I’m wrong…

Nitin is a guy with boyish charm and looks younger than he is… Mamta Mohandas is a glamorous heroine but with matured looks better suited besides senior heroes… But they both are teaming up for their new film which was launched at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad. Ravi who directed Samanyudu will be directing this new movie after a long hiatus… Regular shooting will commence from October 3rd. Sindhu Tolani and Sashank also play a parallel second lead in the film. The film’s music is by Chakri. The movie is being produced by Venkat. And it is a given thing that Mohandas would sing a song in the movie… So might be one more chart buster song in the making for Mamta Mohandas…

Mamta Mohan Das is making immense use of Devi Sri Prasad’s friendship (rumoured to be more than that…) to further her career both as a singer and as an actress. In fact Devi is trying his best to get her meaty roles in good movies… But as you know people have their own whims and fancies… so it is being felt that Devi is in fact very protective and insecure of Mamta when it comes to certain co-stars. So he is said to be accompanying her to almost every shoot and in fact he is said to have attended Jagapathi Babu starrer Homam’s song shoots… along with his friend… (love interest…)
